Delete your Bactima account

What happens

You can delete your Bactima account yourself, in the app or on this website. Deletion is permanent after a 7-day grace period:

  • Straight away you are signed out on all devices and your Bactima Bridge API keys stop working.
  • During the 7 days, signing in only shows the scheduled date with Cancel deletion and Sign out.
  • On the scheduled date, file contents are erased and all records are removed for good: Your account and sign-in; All your files, clean versions, antibiograms and results; All Smart Reports, their PDFs, AI comments and your signature; Bactima Bridge connections and their files; Pending join or transfer requests.
  • Summaries you already sent to hospital admins stay with that hospital. They hold no patient details and show the sender as "Former member".
  • Security and audit logs keep only an anonymous reference instead of your name or email.

Steps

  1. Sign in to Bactima (button below).
  2. Open Profile and scroll to Delete my account.
  3. Enter your current password, type DELETE and confirm.
  4. You see the scheduled date and get an email with a Cancel deletion link.
Sign in to delete your account

Hospital admins who are the only admin must transfer the admin role first.
